Meet the Founder

An engineer who builds; not just designs.

Wael Khalil, the founder of IDEA-TO-FORM, is a mechanical engineer and product development specialist, driven by a deep passion for building, experimentation, and turning ideas into tangible reality.

For more than a decade, Wael has worked at the intersection of engineering, fabrication, and innovation; helping startups, entrepreneurs, and organizations transform early concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready solutions across multiple industries.

His professional experience spans mechanical design, digital fabrication, prototyping, and manufacturing development, with projects ranging from consumer products and cleantech systems to custom equipment and technical installations.

His work is always grounded by real-world constraints and production feasibility.

IDEA-TO-FORM was created from a simple belief: Ideas only matter when they become real.

Hands-On Prototyping Experience

What distinguishes his approach is a strong hands-on relationship with materials and processes.

Beyond professional projects, Wael has maintained a deep personal passion for making. For more than ten years, he has explored mold design, casting techniques, woodworking, furniture creation, and material experimentation as hands-on hobbies.

The constant experimentation developed a practical understanding of materials, processes, and manufacturing behavior that directly informs his professional work today.

This hands-on mindset deeply influences the approach of IDEA-TO-FORM; solutions are designed not only to look good on paper, but to work in practice.

Many great ideas fail not because they lack potential; but because they lack the right technical path forward.

Startup Advisory & Collaboration

Alongside independent projects, Wael has also supported numerous startups and entrepreneurs through accelerator programs and innovation initiatives across Lebanon and the region, providing technical guidance, prototyping support, and product development direction.

This exposure across industries strengthened his ability to move from abstract ideas to real-world implementation with clarity and efficiency.

He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, a Master’s in Project Management, and formal training in Digital Fabrication (Fab Academy), combining structured engineering thinking with practical production experience.

This combination of engineering knowledge, fabrication experience, and real-world problem solving defines the foundation of IDEA-TO-FORM.

    Why IDEA-TO-FORM Exists

Many great ideas fail not because they lack potential; but because they lack the right technical path forward.

Design decisions, materials, manufacturing constraints, and technical risks often create barriers between concept and execution.

IDEA-TO-FORM was created to remove those barriers.

We help clients move from uncertainty to clarity, from sketches to prototypes, and from prototypes to production-ready solutions.

Our role is to simplify complexity and make innovation achievable.

    • Real Engineering Expertise

Projects are guided by mechanical engineering knowledge and technical problem-solving experience, not guesswork.

    • Hands-On Fabrication Experience

We design with manufacturing in mind because we build and test prototypes ourselves.

    • Practical Manufacturing Knowledge

Solutions are developed based on real materials, processes, and production constraints.

    • Cross-Industry Experience

We support clients across multiple sectors, adapting approaches to each project’s needs.

    • Structured Development Approach
